I AM creative, abundant and playful”

“I AM in the flow”

Colour: Orange

Element: Water

Biji mantras are one syllable sounds that activate and balance the chakras. By repeating the mantras, you resonate with that energy to awaken the superpowers of each chakra.

Biji Mantra: VAM

Sit in a comfortable seated position with your spine straight and body relaxed. Take a few deep breaths to ground and centre yourself.

Visualise a bright orange ball of light just below and behind your navel. Inhale deeply, then chant the biji mantra; VAAAAMMMMMM…….

Orange foods energise the sacral chakra and balance the emotional body.

Try to include plenty of orange foods in your diet this week.

Orange foods: Oranges, mandarins, tangerines, persimmons, apricots, nectarines, peaches, mangoes, cantaloupe, papaya, orange peppers, orange tomatoes, squash, pumpkins, carrots, sweet potato, orange lentils, honey and turmeric.

Liquids help to keep the sacral chakra balanced. Orange teas, juices and smoothies are great! Also, oils and essential fats are good for this chakra.

Orange crystals are happy and abundant. They open up our creative channels, connecting us with our inner child and playfulness.

Crystals: All orange crystals are good for balancing the sacral chakra. Examples include; carnelian, orange calcite, tangerine quartz, orange kyanite, amber, orange garnet, citrine, sunstone and orange aventurine.

Aromatherapy assists the body’s natural ability to heal.

Aromatherapy: Wild orange, the oil of abundance, is one of the best oils for the sacral chakra. Other essential oils that are good for the sacral chakra include; tangerine, geranium, ylang ylang, jasmine, clary sage, bergamot, neroli, rosewood, black pepper, fennel and lavender.

Yoga is a fun way to balance the chakras. Practice near water to really connect with this chakra. Better still, why not do some yoga poses in the water! 🌊🧜

I love doing standing balances when I go swimming. Balancing is harder in water. I laugh at myself a lot for bouncing up and down like an ungrounded tree! haha… add some humility into your practice!

P.S. Go to the beach and have some fun!

Swimming in the sea is great for the sacral chakra, it cleanses the body and energy field and is very freeing.

Yoga poses: Mermaid, butterfly, fish, crocodile, dolphin, shark, goddess, warrior 2, triangle and pigeon pose. All hip openers are good for balancing the sacral chakra. Can you think of any other poses that help you to feel creative and in the flow?

We had so much fun in today’s Rainbow Warriors class journeying to the The Magical Ocean! This playful story is lots of fun and teaches the children about friendship, kindness and asteya (non-stealing – one of the five yamas). We met a pirate and created beautiful treasure chests!
