I hope youβve had a magical week. The energies have changed significantly since the New Moon in Aquarius and Chinese New Year last week.
Have you felt the shift?
This week has been epic. Itβs great to be back in the flow doing yoga and massage therapy. It is an honour to share my gifts guiding people on their transformational healing journeys.
While contemplating my unique offering on Substack, Mother nature inspires me to share my adventures as I travel the world, infused with my passion for yoga and food.
First adventure, my trip to Embleton for my 40th birthday.
Toward the end of my 4-day adventure exploring the Northumberland coast, my ankles were aching. By the time I got home, I could hardly lift my left leg without agonising pain in my hip. I also felt disorientated and out of sorts. The strong coastal winds consumed my entire being, blowing through my body and mind like a whirlwind.
My vata dosha (air and space elements) became out of balance, there was too much wind in my system, making me scattered and ungrounded.
I listened to my body’s guidance and rested for 48 hours. The sauna, steam, jacuzzi, and gentle movements in the pool helped to release the pain. I focused on the water healing me, and it worked like magic. By the time I left the spa, my pain had completely gone.
Listening to the pain signals and trusting my intuition, I experienced a quick recovery. Plus, I also received a beautiful gift from my pain.
This week I have focused on grounding practices to restore balance to my root chakra and vata dosha. It has worked a treat and I am excited to share some wonderful techniques with you today so you can strengthen your connection to the earth and your physical body.
Over the next seven weeks, we will journey through the chakras, connecting with the elements and sacred places that I have visited worldwide. Starting with the Northumberland coast and the root chakra.
Just before Christmas, I was looking for a 3-night break away to celebrate my 40th birthday. I found a beautiful cottage in the quaint village of Embleton, a place Iβve wanted to visit since I began writing my first novel in 2020. This was a divine sign.
Can you believe one of the main characters guided me to the Northumberland coast?
Well, it gets even more incredible.
While researching Alnwick the morning of my trip, I discovered that Harry Potter was filmed in Alnwick castle. I was awestruck at this discovery.
Gabriel, the handsome character that inspired this trip, is a wizard.
Amazed, a spark of magic ignited in my heart. I was even more excited about the adventure now.
While waiting for my second train, I sat on platform 11 and picked up my phone at 11:11, noticing there was an 11-minute wait in Newcastle πππ all the 11s! π
As usual, the Angels showed their presence. ππ
Arriving in Alnwick, I was amazed to find this magical gem.
Waking up on the 11th of January, I was grateful to see clear blue skies and sunshine beaming through the window.
As I walked towards the ocean, I wanted to walk right towards the sun to feel the warmth on my face, but my intuition guided me to turn left. I stepped on the beach, turned left, and started walking north. I am so glad I listened to my intuition. The gale-force winds pushed me assertively up the beach.
The ferocious energy activated a surge of power from deep within, blowing me, along with the sandstorm, close to the water’s edge.
As the sand raced past me, it swirled up from the ground making beautiful patterns along the beach. I was mesmerised.
Two hours later, I ended up at The Landing at Beadnell Bay. Arriving at this quirky beach bar, I was delighted to find a table directly in the sun. Removing my coat and hoodie, I immersed myself in the warmth of the sun’s rays, absorbing the light codes that kissed my skin. Captivated by the moment, bliss radiated from my aura, and gratitude overflowed from my heart.
When my lemon drizzle birthday cake and cappuccino arrived, I took out my phone to take a picture. I was awestruck when rainbows danced through my cake. How magical.
As I move into a new decade and 9-year cycle, I feel excited about my future as a full-time writer.
Numerology is just one way the universe communicates with us. Every number carries a unique signature pattern and meaning. When we notice repetitive numbers, especially master numbers, the universe is trying to get our attention.
I trust and have faith in the guidance I receive from Great Spirit.
By asking the question, “what does the world need right now?” The universe guides me on where to focus my energy to help humanity ascend into the New Earth.
To discover where you are on your 9-year cycle, add the numbers for your birthday plus this year together. For example, 11+01+2023 = 10 = 1.
Thankfully, the winds calmed down by the second morning.
The sound of the ocean, the sweetest song.
Strolling down the beach, the image of a dragon appears in the sky.
Mesmerised, I stop to admire the sunrise as it beamed from behind the castle.
Turning around in wonder and awe, the golden sand dunes leave me lost for words.
The photo below captures the energy of the root chakra; strong, grounded, and stable.
My jaw dropped to the ground when I noticed the sunlight beaming through the castle windows.
As my attention moved to the stone people surrounding the castle, I was in awe of the power that emanated from their auras. The intense energy was palpable from a distance.
These sacred stones guard the castle and protect the land.
The three and half hour walk from Embleton down the Northumberland coast to Alnmouth was magical. Once again, I gave thanks to Mother Nature for blessing the day with sunshine and a glorious blue sky. I stopped off for a peaceful meditation and sat on the rocks below. Hidden away from the wind, I enjoyed blissful moments of stillness.
I am excited to take you on an adventure through the chakras, connecting with some of the most amazing places I have ever been too. Plus, share some fun activities from the Rainbow Warriors sing-along affirmations book, chakra journal, and chakra yoga cleanse.

Fun ways to balance your root chakraβ¦
π¦Ά Earthing π¦Ά
Barefoot walking on the grass, soil, sand or rocks is really good for grounding and revitalising the root chakra. Connect with the earth’s natural energy to boost your health and overall wellbeing.
β° Mountain and tree pose π΄
These yoga poses are great to do while you are earthing. Stand in mountain pose and close your eyes. Spend a few minutes connecting with the earth. Visualise roots growing down from your feet. Breathe the life force energy up from the ground. Feel it replenish your body, mind and soul. When you feel grounded, focus your gaze on a fixed point and move into tree pose. Notice the difference on each side. Does one side of your body feel more balanced?
π Eat red foods π
Eat plenty of red foods such as strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, red apples, pomegranate, red peppers, tomatoes, red lentils, etc. Proteins also help to ground and balance the root chakra, as do root vegetables.

Mountain climbing is a fun and exhilarating way to connect with the earth element and your physical body. The root chakra governs the musculoskeletal systems, legs and feet. To ground and balance muladhara, do more activities that strengthen your lower body.
